Many students, faculty and peers in my orbit are in denial and/or fearful about Generative AI and avoiding these tools altogether.
While I believe that Generative AI raises some serious issues related to bias, ethics, and and privacy, as a Career Educator, I also believe we have a duty to teach students how to responsibly leverage the power of Generative AI to best prepare them as future professionals and global citizens for the challenges and opportunities of the future of work.
To guide students (and others) who do not know how to start, I created a series of very simple prompting ChatGPT Prompting guides. The prompts in the guides are just a few of the millions of potential prompts one might use. The versatility of ChatGPT allows for personalized learning experiences, where you can receive tailored support in multiple facets of life, ranging from tackling complex problems to advancing your career, to learning new languages.
My hope was to get folks started, so they could t hen begin their own personalized learning journey to harness the power of ChatGPT and other Generative AI to support their personal and professional goals.
